The Lowerye (pronounced Lower Rye) flock has been a member of the Charollais Sire Reference Scheme since 1996 and we now stand as one of the largest and highest performance flocks of Charollais sheep in the UK. Rams are bred with an emphasis on growth rate and muscling which we consider to be the most important attributes for producing a TOP  class commercial prime lamb, in fact we have bred the highest muscularity (from CT scanning) ram lambs in most of the last 7 years.
