Lowerye Eric - width, power, muscle and growth.

The Lowerye (pronounced Lower Rye) flock has been a member of the Charollais Sire Reference Scheme since 1996 and we now stand as one of the largest and highest performance flocks of Charollais sheep in the UK. Rams are bred with an emphasis on growth rate and muscling which we consider to be the most important attributes for producing a TOP  class commercial prime lamb, in fact we have had the highest average muscularity and eye muscle depth ebvs for several years.

We have moved! In March 2012, we moved our sheep flocks to a new farm in the Welsh Marches. We are now rising to the challenge of 'making our mark' on a 320ac mixed holding near Montgomery, Powys (Post code: SY15 6UL, for sat nav users). We will still be selling forage reared shearling rams, straight off the farm, so why not pay us a visit? For more information (& pictures) of the farm, CLICK HERE.

61 of the top 100 recorded Charollais ram lambs in 2012 were again bred at Lowerye.

Lowerye stock rams are ranked 1st, 2nd & 3rd on the Signet report 2012.

Our 'average' lamb born in 2012, has an index of 389.

L.Krikey semen is available for sale.

Ram semen is available for home and export sale.
